Pak Poly Products Ltd Acquires TSARA malaria control nets and factory
It is with great anticipation that we announce the acquisition of the Long Lasting Insecticidal Net product portfolio “TSARA” from Moon Netting, Dubai and our expansion into the manufacturing and sales of public health textiles with a manufacturing site in our great hometown of Lahore, Pakistan.
The TSARA mosquito net portfolio includes both proven and the most innovative products for the control of malaria and other vector borne diseases and represents a formidable potential to Pak Poly Products Pvt Ltd and the local community in Lahore as well as a great promise to people living in malaria endemic areas.
The Pak Poly Products company has a 30-year proud history in synthetic polymer based textiles and is committed to world-class quality assurance practices in its productions. Naturally, this commitment now includes the production of our new malaria prevention products. Our mission is to provide effective and safe products that will help protect individuals and communities from the devastating effects of malaria, with an emphasis on locally, malaria-endemic country manufactured products.
To ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality, we will continue to invest in the comprehensive quality management system (QMS) that is compliant with international standards such as ISO 9001:2015. CEO Khalid Jamil had the pleasure of reviewing the QMS with auditors from the WHO Pre-Qualification inspection team and from the national regulator, Drug Regulatory Authority for Pakistan and shares the endorsement that the QMS provides for systematic and thorough processes for product design, development, production, and testing, and that the factory manufactures products that are safe and effective.
We have opened an office in Dubai, PPP Hollandi DMCC from where we will engage with business and supply chain partners. The office will also function as the principal partner for institutions, international agencies and regulatory authorities.
Commitment to malaria endemic communities
As a company, we are also committed to having a positive impact on the communities we operate in by prioritizing inclusion and investing in local production facilities. This not only ensures that our products are accessible to the communities that need them, but it also provides employment opportunities, supports local economies and promotes sustainable development.
We also pledge to work and invest with partnerships in making products more accessible, better understood and in product development to ensure the malaria community reaches its target of malaria eradication by 2040.
At Pak Poly Products we understand that the fight against malaria is a critical one, and we are dedicated to providing the highest quality malaria prevention products to protect individuals and communities where it is prevalent. Situated in a country that is malaria endemic and where limited access to health products and services cause hardship and loss to families, we understand far too well the importance of this mission.
Children from lower-income families and marginalized communities are often at a higher risk of lacking access to health products, which can exacerbate health disparities. Ensuring that all children have access to health products regardless of their backgrounds can help create a more just and equitable society and improve the outlook for their personal fortunes as well as that of the communities we are part of.
We will always strive for excellence in all aspects of our operations to ensure that our products are safe, effective, accessible and meet the highest standards of quality. This mindset extends to our business conduct and the way we engage with both upstream and downstream partners. We are looking forward to becoming a trusted member of the mission towards malaria elimination.
